World Series of Fighting announced Wednesday that WSOF 26 will be held on Dec. 18 inside The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Reigning WSOF featherweight champion Lance Palmer is slated to defend his title against the winner of the WSOF 24 battle between Alexandre Almeida and Saul Almeida.
Palmer has won three straight bouts since being submitted by Georgi Karakhanyan almost two years ago. He captured the title by subbing Rick Glenn via rear-naked choke last December and defended it in June by forcing Chris Horodecki to tap out due to a neck crank.
Spong, a decorated world champion in kickboxing who is among the best on the planet in kickfighting, is looking to get back on track. He’s been sidelined by various injuries during the past 18 months and he’s itching to get back into the MMA foray.
No opponent has been announced as of yet for Spong.
