Thirteen UFC 109 competitors tested negative for steroids and drugs, according to an email distributed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Thursday.
Headliners Randy Couture and Mark Coleman, along with Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen, Paulo Thiago, Demian Maia, Matt Serra, Mac Danzig, Phil Davis, Chris Tuchscherer, Joey Beltran, Melvin Guillard and Robert Emerson were all tested by the regulatory body in conjunction with their participation at UFC 109 “Relentless” on Feb. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Couture submitted Coleman with a second-round rear-naked choke during the hall-of-famer main attraction.
