Aisling Daly vs. Randa Markos
Round 1
Markos comes over the top with a right hand, adds a jab and then goes to the body of Daly, who switches to the southpaw stance in response. More right hands tag Daly, reddening the Irishwoman’s face at the end of the opening minute. Daly steps into the pocket with her hands down and eats a wide right hook in order to clinch up. “Ais the Bash” pins Markos against the cage with double underhooks, giving the Canadian no room to strike while Daly attempts the takedown. Halfway through the round, Daly trips Markos to the ground. Markos reverses immediately, then climbs on the back of the kneeling Daly and secures back-mount with a body triangle. Daly fights off her wrists, so Markos moves to the front with an arm-triangle choke already set up. Daly holds her in half guard for a moment, making it tough to finish the choke. Markos passes to side control, can’t finish the choke and goes over the top to attempt an armbar. Daly pulls her arm free and the women scramble up, then Daly gets a trip takedown to finish the round.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Daly walks straight at Markos and gets dinged by another right hand, then clinches the “Quiet Storm” against the fence. Markos reverses again, tossing Daly to the ground and landing in scarf hold position to deliver short left hands from side control. The head-and-arm control gets too high, allowing Daly to slip out and scramble back to her feet. She holds Markos against the cage for the better part of a minute until she’s able to drag her to the floor. They land in an awkward north-south position and Daly flattens out Markos, then straddles her head to attempt a kimura. Daly can’t get a grip on the submission, so she drops a couple elbows on Markos’ face. Markos works back to her feet in the final 10 seconds and has to fend off a standing rear-naked choke attempt from Daly.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Daly wastes no time clinching up with Markos, once again holding her against the fence with an underhook to work for a takedown. Markos blocks the takedown and reverses, putting Daly’s back to the cage and delivering a few knees to the Irish fighter’s legs. Markos eventually pulls Daly to the ground and lands in side control on the right, again using head-and-arm control to score with short left hands. Same as last round, Daly is able to wriggle free and stand, and the strawweights return to their familiar position on the fence. Daly botches a high single-leg, falls backward to the canvas and winds up mounted by Markos with 1:40 remaining. Markos peels off to try an armbar on Daly’s right arm, but the veteran defends well, even as Markos tries to soften her up with body punches. Markos goes belly-down on the armbar with 30 seconds left, so Daly stands and stacks her up until time expires.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Letourneau counters a low kick from Rakoczy with a check left hook, then adds another before Rakoczy closes the distance and pushes her against the fence. The clinch doesn’t last long, and the fighters move back to the center, where Rakoczy lands another leg kick and a couple right hands to the gut. Rakoczy pushes Letourneau against the fence and then drags her to the ground, where Letourneau throws up a triangle. Rakoczy lifts and slams, but it only makes the choke tighter. Letourneau is on the wrong side, however, and she has to switch legs to really threaten with the choke. Rakoczy lifts and slams again, and now Letourneau switches from the triangle to a belly-down armbar. Rakoczy slips out and stands, only to be taken back down by Letourneau seconds later. Letourneau tries another armbar but doesn’t secure the position and gets flipped over. Now it’s Rakoczy standing over Letourneau, dropping hammer fists until “Trouble” forces her to defend against a heel hook. Rakoczy spins to pull the leg free and drops back down in side control on Letourneau’s right, gift-wrapping the American Top Team fighter’s right arm to score with a couple punches. Letourneau fights off an arm-triangle attempt from Rakoczy and sweeps to top position seconds before the wild first round ends.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Rakoczy lands a left hook and gets countered by a stiff jab, then puts a few kicks on Letourneau’s body and rushes her against the fence with a high body lock. Letourneau defends the takedown and gets a knee up to create some space. She begins driving knees into Rakoczy’s thighs, then slugs her with right hands over the top until Rakoczy releases the clinch. As they reset in the center, Rakoczy’s right eye is nearly swollen shut, but she’s still able to counter Letourneau’s low kicks with solid check hooks. Rakoczy tries to clinch and gets punched away by a right hand over the top.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Between rounds, referee Jerin Valel has the doctor examine the swollen right eye of Rakoczy, who is somehow cleared to continue. Letourneau catches Rakoczy on her blind side with a left high kick that knocks her backward. After a short clinch on the fence from Rakoczy, they strawweights wind up in the whizzer, tripping to the ground and then bouncing back up. Rakoczy lands a kick to the body, puts Letourneau’s back against a cage post with an underhook, but cannot hold her there. Letourneau lands an elbow on the exit, steps forward with an inside leg kick and then slides out of the way of Rakoczy’s return fire. With 2:30 on the clock, Rakoczy grabs for Letourneau’s legs and gets reversed to the fence, where Letourneau lights her up with a quick combination. Rakoczy clinches again but doesn’t do much with the position before Letourneau breaks loose. Rakoczy meets Letourneau in the middle and lands a knee to the body inside the final minute. Letourneau fends off a long, high double-leg attempt, wraps up Rakoczy and trips her to the ground. Letourneau lands in full mount and delivers a few final blows before the horn.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Taleb catches a leg kick and tries to send a right hand down the middle, but he has to release as Clements fires back with a pair of punches. It’s 6-foot-1 Taleb walking down the shorter man, working from the center of the cage and moving Clements toward the fence. An inside thigh kick from Clements strays high, and referee Marc Goddard gives Taleb a break to recover from the groin strike. After 20 seconds, Taleb is back to business, inching forward on Clements, who scores with a pair of leg kicks. Clements makes Taleb step back momentarily with a nice left hook, then feints and jabs to create some space and get away from the cage. Taleb comes back to dig an underhook and push Clements against the cage, where they clinch for 30 seconds before Taleb hits a trip takedown. Clements is quickly back on his feet, although still held on the fence. The welterweights break with 90 seconds remaining in the opening round. Clements lands a leg kick, but Taleb catches the next one and runs him to the ground, landing in side control on the left. Clements reclaims guard, so Taleb postures up to drop an elbow on his face. A couple more elbows connect for Taleb in the final 10 seconds.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Clements lands an overhand right and slaps Taleb with a backhand on the other side. Aggressive stuff from Clements in the opening minute of round two, charging at Taleb with hooks and then a Superman punch. Taleb changes levels and floors “The Menace” with another takedown before sitting up in Clements’ half guard to score with more elbows. Clements gives up his back, rolls over again and winds up mounted by Taleb. It doesn’t last long, as Clements shakes him off and Taleb moves back to side control. Clements posts and stands for a split second before Taleb rips him back to the ground. Clements tries a kimura from underneath, loses it and now works from his back with Taleb in his guard. With 70 seconds left, Taleb stands up and drops back to the ground with a hard right hand. He passes to half guard on Clements’ right side, and the 170-pounders exchange slicing elbow strikes. Clements sits up against the fence in the last 30 seconds, then stands up but can’t escape Taleb’s clutches.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Clements tries a spinning kick, gets wrapped up and dragged to the ground by Taleb in the opening 20 seconds. With Clements on his knees, Taleb punches under the armpit with a nice right hand from riding position. Clements powers back to his feet with 3:45 on the clock, only to be tripped back to the mat 10 seconds later. Taleb holds Clements on the ground for another minute, neither man mounting any offense. When Clements gets back up and creates some space, Taleb catches up to him and lands a kick to the body. Taleb tries a Thai clinch and gets brushed away by a Clements uppercut. Taleb ducks under a wild overhand right and blocks a right high kick from the Tristar fighter. Taleb catches a low kick and drags Clements back to the ground with just over one minute remaining. An elbow from Taleb opens up a cut on the right side of Clements’ brow. Round 1
Michaud blocks a high kick from Aubin-Mercier but takes a right hand on the chin a few seconds later. When Michaud presses forward, Aubin-Mercier changes levels for a takedown attempt. Michaud puts a hand on the mat and keeps his balance as Aubin-Mercier tries to reap his legs. Aubin-Mercier scores with some short punches, tries to jump on Michaud’s back but can’t get the purchase. Picking the ankle, Aubin-Mercier brings Michaud down to his knees and drives a few knees into the thighs of the “Bulldawg.” More peppering right hands score for Aubin-Mercier, then a couple left hands under the armpit after he switches sides. With two minutes on the clock, Aubin-Mercier finally pulls Michaud to the ground, taking back-mount in the process. Aubin-Mercier applies a body triangle, tries a rear-naked choke but can’t get his right arm underneath Michaud’s chin. Michaud is sitting up, checking the monitor to see Aubin-Mercier’s position as he continues to fight off the RNC. Aubin-Mercier lands a hard kick to the body but has to back up as Michaud rushes him with a flurry of punches. Michaud stuffs a long double-leg attempt and continues to walk forward on Aubin-Mercier, though the “Bulldawg” isn’t really letting go of his hands. Aubin-Mercier scores with another body kick, an uppercut and a counter right hand. Aubin-Mercier lunges into range with a long, straight punch and gets dropped by a clean right hook counter by Michaud. Aubin-Mercier bounces back to his feet, circles out and catches the incoming Michaud with a left high kick. A body kick drops Michaud to his knees, but Aubin-Mercier is slow to pounce and his follow-up punches aren’t enough to finish the fight. Michaud powers back to his feet, gets pushed against the fence and absorbs a couple knees to his legs before escaping. He knocks Aubin-Mercier backward with a left hook and walks forward to put a right cross on the southpaw’s chin. Michaud catches the next body kick from Aubin-Mercier and returns fire with a left hand.Sherdog Scores

Same as in round one, Aubin-Mercier drags Michaud to the ground and takes his back in one swift move. Aubin-Mercier applies a body triangle and starts hunting for a rear-naked choke with just under four minutes left to go. This time, Aubin-Mercier catches his opponent slipping and snakes his right arm around Michaud’s neck to elicit a quick tap.The Official Result
Olivier Aubin-Mercier def. David Michaud via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R3 3:24Chad Laprise vs. Bryan Barberena
Round 1
Barberena’s first low kick nearly takes out Laprise’s lead leg, but Laprise presses forward and catches the American with a quick right high kick to the face. Barberena circles off the fence and just blocks another hard right high kick. Both lightweights throw right hands at the same time, and Laprise’s gets there first. A three-punch combination tags Barberena, who takes the center of the cage while Laprise begins moving around the outside. A turning kick to the body seems to hurt Barberena, then Laprise goes upstairs with another head kick. Barberena is slowing down now, leaning against the fence while Laprise attacks with jabs and body shots. Another spinning kick to the gut partially lands on Barberena, who tries to wrap up Laprise but can’t get hold. With one minute left in the round, Barberena seems to have recovered, at least enough to answer Laprise’s strikes with some leg kicks. Laprise scores the last shots of the round, picking off the incoming Barberena with counter left hands.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Laprise lands a switch kick to the body, then another, and he follows up the second with a stiff jab. Barberena is evading some of Laprise’s strikes, ducking under the more telegraphed punches, but the American’s own offense isn’t scoring much. The lightweights clinch up, and Barberena breaks off with a knee to the gut. Barberena is starting to pile on some leg kicks midway through the round. Laprise times one and counters with a straight right that snaps back Barberena’s head. Barberena throws a three-punch combo, clipping Laprise with a right hand on the end. Laprise has been on his back foot in the second half of the round, his offense tapering off as he focuses on evading Barberena’s strikes. Barberena twice throws up his arms to taunt Laprise in the closing seconds of the round.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Barberena presses the action at the start of round three, but as soon as he gets Laprise near the fence to land a couple punches, the Canadian circles out. Laprise sticks a jab, takes a leg kick and rocks Barberena’s head with another hard, straight right. Barberena grabs the Thai plum and tosses Laprise to the ground 90 seconds into the round. Laprise crawls over to the cage and stands before Barberena can establish top position. Laprise is cut open beneath his right eye as Barberena clips him with a left hook and moves in to clinch. Laprise shoves Barberena away and quickly gets his back off the fence. Barberena catches his man coming in to clinch and pops Laprise with an uppercut. Laprise digs an underhook and pushes Barberena to the fence, but it’s Barberena scoring with knees to the body and then breaking off with an elbow to the face. Barberena is definitely the fresher fighter down the stretch, and he continues to raise his arms and taunt Laprise in between strikes. Laprise clips with a spinning back fist and goes all-out with spinning kicks in the last 10 seconds, though they don’t land clean.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Davis strikes first with a stiff jab, then slides backward to avoid Kaufman’s punches. Kaufman lands a right hook in the following exchange, and another in the next one. Kaufman is beating Davis to the punch when both women stand in the pocket to trade, and Davis’ face is bearing damage just 90 seconds into the fight. Davis wraps up Kaufman for a trip takedown, but Kaufman keeps her balance, separates and backs out to the center of the cage. Davis lands a leg kick; Kaufman times the next one and counters over the top with a right hand. Kaufman connects with a one-two in the next exchange and then puts a kick across the front of Davis’ legs. Davis steps in to clinch, gets underhooked and shoved against a fence post. Davis tries to counter with a Thai plum, puts a knee on Kaufman’s body and then reverses the position. Davis drops for a single-leg with one minute left, but again Kaufman defends the takedown. Kaufman takes outside position and exits the clinch with a short elbow to the face of Davis, which is beet red and swollen as the first round ends.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Davis puts a kick on Kaufman’s midsection, then attacks the legs with a few low kicks. Kaufman is still landing the better of the punches, consistently coming over the top to tag Davis with right hands. Kaufman catches a low kick and tries to wrap up Davis around the waist, but Davis hits a head-and-arm toss and lands in full mount. The mount is high, and Kaufman is able to slip out the back door, but now Davis throws up a triangle from her back. Kaufman stacks her up against the fence, not allowing Davis to cinch the triangle. Davis switches to an armbar on Kaufman’s trapped left arm, pivots away from the fence and goes belly-down to fully extend the arm. Kaufman taps almost instantly, but referee Jerin Valel is not in position to see it, and the fight goes on for another three to five seconds before Valel finally notices and calls it off.The Official Result
Alexis Davis def. Sarah Kaufman via Submission (Armbar) R2 1:52Patrick Cote vs. Joe Riggs
Round 1
Cote opens with a slapping leg kick, but southpaw Riggs steps backward and ducks under when “The Predator” comes forward swinging punches. Riggs turns a rear waist lock into a takedown, then jumps on the kneeling Cote’s back and stays there as Cote stands up. With only one hook established, Riggs is easily shaken off, and he winds up on his back with Cote delivering left hands to his face. Riggs posts and stands but gets taken right back down by a quick Cote double-leg takedown. Riggs uses butterfly guard to sit up against the fence while Cote tenderizes the American’s ribs with short punches. Cote stands and knees Riggs’ body, then keeps hold of “Diesel” as he follows to the feet. Seconds later, Cote drags Riggs back to the canvas. The sequence repeats again, this time with Cote pulling Riggs away from the fence for the takedown. Cote leans left to right in Riggs’ half guard, framing up a kimura on his right arm. Riggs waits until Cote tries to fully extend the arm and then yanks it free with 30 seconds left. Riggs scrambles up in the last 10 seconds and tries to jump on Cote’s back, only to be sent over the top and finish the round with his back on the mat.Sherdog Scores

Cote starts round two with more leg kicks but runs into a right hook from Riggs and has to clinch up. Riggs reverses him against the fence with an underhook, delivers a knee to Cote’s body and exits the tie-up with a knee. Riggs backs up to the fence with a high guard, trying to draw Cote into the pocket, but Cote’s punches score without any clean retaliation from the American. Cote backs up his man with a couple kicks to the body, ducks under a Superman punch and grabs for Riggs’ waist. Riggs stands him up and pushes him to the fence, where Cote tries to reap the inside leg and toss him to the ground. Riggs stuffs the takedown, sending Cote to his seat, but “The Predator” bounces back up. Riggs keeps him pressed on the fence, but there’s not much action from the welterweights in the clinch. Cote breaks out with 40 seconds remaining in the round. They tie up in the middle, Riggs thwarts a toss attempt from Cote and climbs on his back just as time runs out.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Cote tries to clinch up, gets kneed in the body and then taken down by Riggs. As Cote tries to scramble back up, Riggs pulls guard with a guillotine, then sits up and spins to take Cote’s back as he moves to escape. Cote peels away Riggs’ hooks and twists around to take top position, then begins socking Riggs in the face with hard right hands. Riggs has Cote in open guard, trying to control his wrists and neutralize the strikes. Halfway through the round, Riggs closes his guard and Cote’s offense slows down. Referee Marc Goddard calls for work, so Cote resumes punching to Riggs’ body. The 170-pounders scoot toward the fence, where Cote passes to side control with just over one minute to go. Riggs stands up, still muscled against the fence, then underhooks Cote’s arms and turns him around. A couple knees land for Riggs before he jumps on Cote’s back and rides him to the ground. Round 1
Almeida blocks an early jab from Jabouin and answers with an inside leg kick. The bantamweights test the range in the center of the cage for the first minute, “Thominhas” scoring with a couple more leg kicks. Jabouin changes levels and dumps Almeida to the ground with a big double-leg in the center of the cage. Almeida pops him with an elbow from underneath, then scrambles back to his feet even with Jabouin clinging to his right leg. The fighters separate, and now Almeida starts throwing combinations, scoring with a left hook to the body and overhand right upstairs. A straight right clips Jabouin, who misses with a spinning kick aimed at Almeida’s midsection. Another straight right hand over the top finds its mark on Jabouin’s face, followed by a left hook on the end of an Almeida uppercut. Ninety seconds left in round one, and Almeida continues to outwork Jabouin with punching combinations. He stings Jabouin with a left hook to the jaw, follows with a body kick and rushes the “Tiger” against the fence. Left hooks, uppercuts and body shots score for Almeida, and Jabouin goes into a defensive shell with his back pressed to the cage. Almeida keeps bombing with punches, and with Jabouin not offering anything in return, referee Yves Lavigne stops the fight. The Official Result

Round 1
Campbell opens with a leg kick and gets a right hook counter to the ribs. Another low kick scores for “Shaolin,” then one to the body, but Makdessi answers this with a straight right to Campbell’s face. Campbell hits the ground, bounces back up and gets put on the fence by Makdessi, who drops down to try a double-leg takedown. Makdessi switches to a single, still can’t get it, and now Campbell circles out. Campbell puts a right hand on Makdessi’s ear and follows up with a pair of low kicks. Makdessi is cut on the bridge of his nose, and his lead leg continues to absorb hard kicks. Makdessi puts a left hand in Campbell’s breadbasket, sending the taller man shooting for a takedown. Makdessi stuffs it and zaps Campbell with a straight right upstairs. A right hook on the jaw sends Campbell crashing to the canvas, and Makdessi is all over him with follow-up punches. Campbell rolls to his knees as Makdessi slams him with hammer fists, referee Philippe Chartier having a close look from nearby. Campbell powers back to his feet, eats another uppercut and a jab on the jaw. He ducks under a wide hook from Makdessi to try a double-leg, but Makdessi puts his back to the fence and socks Campbell with short right hands until he gives up on the takedown. Makdessi shoves him away and pushes forward with 30 seconds left. Makdessi catches a kick and trips Campbell to the ground, then allows him to stand. A right hook to the body, a left hand up top and an uppercut send Campbell back to the canvas. This time, when Makdessi swarms with punches, referee Chartier steps in to save Campbell from any further damage. The Official Result

Round 1
An early low kick from Dollaway lands on Bisping’s groin, and referee Jerin Valel pauses the action to allow the Englishman to recover. Bisping only takes a few seconds, and when they resume, it’s Dollaway staking out the center of the cage while Bisping moves clockwise around the edge. Both men land leg kicks before Dollaway shoots for a takedown, winding up on his knees after Bisping shoves him off and clips with a right hand. Both middleweights swing and miss with combinations midway through the round. Bisping scores with a two-piece combo and slides back to dodge Dollaway’s counterpunches. Dollaway blocks a left high kick with both gloves and walks into a jab, then gets backed up by a leg kick. Dollaway sends Bisping to the ground with a big left hook, tries to shuck the legs but can’t find the angle. Instead, he stands over “The Count” and punches at his body. Bisping grabs for a leg, Dollaway bails and Bisping is able to scramble up. Dollaway chases down Bisping and socks him with a straight right hand, but Bisping seems to have recovered and finishes the round with a body-head combo as Dollaway covers up.Sherdog Scores

Bisping comes out swinging, but Dollaway ducks low to avoid the punches. Back to the center of the cage, Bisping sends a right hand down the center and catches the “Doberman” on the jaw. Another straight right connects for Bisping, then a jab, but Dollaway blocks a leaping knee and shakes his head. Dollaway shoots for a takedown and gets left on the mat as Bisping limp-legs away. A spinning heel kick bounces off the shoulder of Dollaway, who raises his hands again and shrugs. Bisping steps into range with a body kick and follows up with a cross upstairs. Dollaway takes a right hand on the temple and backs up to the fence, then shoots for a takedown and is denied once again. He makes Bisping back off with a right hand, follows the Brit around the outside and clips him with the same left hook that dropped Bisping in round one. This time, Bisping stays standing, but he’s now trickling blood from the outside corner of his right eye. Dollaway tries one last takedown at the 10-second clapper and manages to drag Bisping to the mat as time runs out.Sherdog Scores

Bisping kicks Dollaway off, gets to his knees and then stands to circle out. The left hook keeps scoring for Dollaway, but Bisping stands firm this time. Bisping catches a kick and decks Dollaway with a straight punch. A right cross catches Dollaway clean as the clock ticks down to the final three minutes. Bisping grazes with a left high kick and then yanks his leg away before Dollaway can grab hold. Dollaway scores another left hook, but it’s all single shots from the wrestler at this point. Dollaway slips throwing a punch, but Bisping gets tangled up trying to hold him there. As he stands, Dollaway is able to clip with a left hand as Bisping turns to dash away. With one minute left, Dollaway ducks low behind a jab and pushes Bisping to the fence with a single-leg. Bisping gets an underhook and backs out, and Dollaway trips to the ground. Round 1
Canadian referee Yves Lavigne is the third man in the cage for tonight’s championship bout, with judges Richard Bertrand, Sal D’Amato and David Therien scoring at cageside. Horiguchi opens with a kick to the body, and Johnson switches stances a few times before settling in orthodox. Back to southpaw goes Johnson, landing a reaching right hand on the backpedaling challenger. Johnson lands a couple kicks on Horiguchi’s lead leg, then stumbles backward as he dodges a combination. Johnson catches a body kick and rushes Horiguchi against the fence, dropping levels to work an ankle pick. Back to the center go the flyweights. Johnson closes the distance, moving Horiguchi toward the cage again, and lands a few speedy right hands upstairs before hitting a double-leg takedown. With 90 seconds remaining, Johnson has Horiguchi seated at the base of the fence, where he pops the challenger with a pair of shoulder shrugs to the face.
