The bantamweight contest was recently added to the UFC 195 event page on UFC.com. UFC 195 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Jan. 2 and is headlined by a welterweight championship clash between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit.
Doane, 29, will look to halt a two-fight skid when he faces Tanaka. After posting triumphs over Leandro Issa and Marcus Brimage in his first two promotional appearances, Doane has dropped back-to-back contests to Iuri Alcantara and Jerrod Sanders in his last two outings.
Tanaka did not compete at all in 2015. The 25-year-old Japanese fighter split his first two Octagon appearances in 2014, besting Roland Delorme before suffering his first career defeat to Kyung Ho Kang in his most recent bout on Sept. 20, 2014.
