UFC 196 Update: Alex White vs. Artem Lobov Booked for Feb. 6 in Las Vegas

Alex White will meet Artem Lobov in a featherweight tilt at UFC 196 in Las Vegas.

Promotion officials announced the contest on Saturday. UFC 196 takes place on Feb. 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight title rematch between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez.

White, who didn’t fight at all in 2015, will look to halt a two-fight skid in his Octagon return. After knocking out Estevan Payan in his promotional debut, “The Spartan” dropped back-to-back bouts against Lucas Martins and Clay Collard to fall to 10-2 in his professional career.

After getting a second chance on “The Ultimate Fighter 22,” Lobov made it to the reality show’s finale on Dec. 11, where he lost a lopsided unanimous decision to Ryan Hall. The SBG Ireland representative is 11-11-1 during his professional tenure, with six triumphs inside the distance.
