UFC 199 Salaries: Dan Henderson ($800K) Tops Payroll in Last Fight on UFC Contract

Dan Henderson completed the final bout his current Ultimate Fighting Championship contract at UFC 199, and “Hendo” earned an event-high purse in the process.

The 45-year-old middleweight -- who notched a crushing, second-round knockout of Hector Lombard at Saturday’s show in Inglewood, California -- took home a “show” salary of $600,000 and a “win” bonus of $200,000 for a total $800,000 purse. Lombard earned $53,000 in defeat.

MMAJunkie.com on Monday published payroll information from the event released by the California State Athletic Commission.

Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz was the card’s next highest earner, pocketing a total of $350,000 for his successful title defense against Urijah Faber ($160,000) in the night’s co-main event. Headliners Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold both took in $250,000 for their middleweight title clash, with Bisping earning no disclosed win bonus for his upset victory.

Note: The disclosed purses reported by state athletic commissions do not include any performance-based or discretionary bonuses that may be awarded to a fighter by the promotion. Additionally, the reported figures do not reflect any deductions made by the commission for taxes, insurance, etc., and do not include any sponsorship money that a fighter may acquire for their performance.
