UFC 220 Update: Gian Villante, Francimar Barroso to Clash in Boston on Jan. 20

Gian Villante will face Francimar Barroso in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 220.

The Las Vegas-based recently promotion confirmed the pairing to Newsday. UFC 220 takes place at TD Garden in Boston on Jan. 20 and airs on pay-per-view.

Villante will look to return to the win column after dropping back-to-back fights against Patrick Cummins and Mauricio Rua. The 32-year-old New Yorker is 5-6 during his promotional tenure and 15-9 as a professional overall.

Barroso split a pair of Octagon appearances in 2017. The 37-year-old Brazilian outpointed Darren Stewart at UFC Fight Night 107 before losing a unanimous verdict to Aleksander Rakic at UFC Fight Night 115.
