In the main event, Daniel Cormier (236.5) will look to defend his heavyweight title for the second time when he takes on former champ Stipe Miocic (230.5). It will also serve as a rematch of their fight at UFC 226, where 'DC' won by first-round knockout. The co-headliner sees a welterweight clash as Anthony Pettis (169.5) welcomes Diaz (170) back to the organization for the first time in almost three years.
UFC 241, which airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, also features a middleweight battle between Yoel Romero (184.5) and Paulo Henrique Costa (186). The card also features a featherweight scrap between Gabriel Benitez (146) taking on surging prospect Sodiq Yusuff (145). Opening up the main card is a middleweight bout between Derek Brunson (186) and Ian Heinisch (185.5).
Also of note, the Ultimate Fighting Championship decided to change the bantamweight tilt between Manny Bermudez and Casey Kenney into a 140-pound catchweight contest the night before the weigh-ins.
