UFC 249 Odds: Ryan Spann, Fabricio Werdum Open as Biggest Favorites on May 9 Card

Ryan Spann is the biggest favorite at UFC 249, according to online oddsmaker BetOnline.

Spann opened as a -425 favorite in his light heavyweight clash with Sam Alvey, who is a +325 underdog. A Fortis MMA product, Spann is a rising prospect at 205 pounds thanks to triumphs over Luis Henrique Barbosa de Oliveira, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Devin Clark to begin his promotional tenure. Alvey, meanwhile, is in the middle of a three-bout UFC skid and is 2-3 since moving from middleweight to light heavyweight.

Fabricio Werdum, scheduled for his first appearance since March 2018, is the next biggest favorite on the card at -300 against Alexey Oleynik (+250). “Vai Cavalo” last competed at UFC Fight Night 127 in March 2018, losing to Alexander Volkov via fourth-round TKO in the evening’s main event. A veteran of 72 professional outings, Oleynik snapped a two-bout skid with a submission of Maurice Greene at UFC 246.

All UFC 249 odds are subject to change as fight day approaches.

UFC 249 takes place on May 9 and is headlined by an interim lightweight title clash between Tony Feguson (-160) and Justin Gaethje (+140). In the co-main event, Henry Cejudo (-240) will defend his bantamweight crown against Dominick Cruz (+200).
