UFC 314 Weigh-in Results: Title Fight Set; 1 Fighter Heavy

The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its return to Miami for an exciting UFC 314 pay-per-view card featuring 13 fights.

The main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes for the vacant featherweight championship is now official after the weigh-ins took place. Both men made weight for the five-round fight. As for the rest of the card, only Nora Cornolle failed to hit her contracted weight, as she was 1.5 pounds over the bantamweight limit. Her fight against Hailey Cowan will continue, although Cornolle will be fined a percentage of her purse.

Volkanovski (26-4) enters the title fight on a shocking two-fight losing streak as he lost to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in his second bid at the 155-pound title and was then knocked out by Ilia Topuria. "The Great" will look to regain his featherweight belt for the first time, as he had previously defended it against Max Holloway, Yair Rodriguez, Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung. "The Great" stepped on the scale at 145 pounds on the dot.

This is the biggest fight in the career of Lopes (26-6). The Brazilian quickly went from prospect to contender with wins over Sodiq Yusuff, Dan Ige and Ortega. The 30-year-old Brazilian enters the fight on a five-fight win streak and will look to wear UFC gold for the first time. The Lobo Gym MMA product also weighed 145 pounds.

The UFC 314 main card will air live on ESPN+ pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m on Saturday. PT. Prelims begin at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass before moving to ESPN+ and ESPN at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
