It looks like Joanna Jedrzejczyk will avoid going under the knife after all.

The UFC strawweight champion took to Instagram on Friday to reveal the good news.

“I’m super happy!” she wrote. “I got a phone call from my doctor from MML Medical Center. I do not need surgery.”

Earlier this week, UFC Tonight reported that Jedrzejczyk would need surgery for a fractured right thumb suffered in her victory over Jessica Penne at UFC Fight Night Berlin on June 20. The Polish fighter was expected to undergo the procedure in Los Angeles next week.

It is still unclear when 115-pound queen commonly referred to as “Joanna Champion” will make a return to the Octagon, as she did not mention a timetable in her post.

Jedrzejczyk dominated Penne in their UFC Fight Night main event encounter, finishing the contest via technical knockout at the 4:22 mark of round three. The 27-year-old is 10-0 as a professional, including Octagon triumphs over Penne, Carla Esparza, Claudia Gadelha and Juliana de Lima Carneiro.
