The New York State Athletic Commission on Wednesday released a list of medical suspensions from the event, which took place at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. on Dec. 9. The evening’s headliner saw Derrick Lewis defeat Shamil Abdurakhimov via fourth round technical knockout in a heavyweight clash.
Villante will need clearance from the NYSAC following his victory over Saparbek Safarov in a light heavyweight duel. The Serra-Longo Fight Team member earned a TKO triumph over his opponent 2:54 into the second round.
Additionally, Andrew Sanchez, Trevor Smith, Shane Burgos, Frankie Perez and Keith Berish also received indefinite suspensions that require clearance from the NYSAC.
