UFC Fight Night 124 Update: Doo Ho Choi, Jeremy Stephens to Clash in St. Louis

By Tristen Critchfield Dec 1, 2017

A featherweight bout pitting Doo Ho Choi against Jeremy Stephens has been added to the UFC Fight Night 124 lineup.

The Las Vegas-based promotion recently announced the pairing. UFC Fight Night 124 takes place at Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Jan. 14 and also features a middleweight tilt between Uriah Hall and Vitor Belfort and a featherweight contest between Michael Johnson and Darren Elkins. The card will be televised on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

The 26-year-old Choi will be returning to the Octagon for the first time in more than a year. In his last appearance, “The Korean Superboy” lost a decision to Cub Swanson in one of 2016’s best fights at UFC 206. The South Korean began his promotional tenure with first-round knockouts of Juan Manuel Puig, Sam Sicilia and Thiago Tavares.

After beginning his UFC career at lightweight, Stephens has established himself as a tough out at 145 pounds over the past four years. “Lil Heathen” owns featherweight triumphs over the likes of Gilbert Melendez, Renan Barao, Dennis Bermudez and Darren Elkins. The 31-year-old Iowan has made 26 Octagon appearances since 2007.
