UFC Fight Night ‘Dillashaw vs. Cruz’ Adds Ilir Latifi-Sean O’Connell 205-Pound Showdown

Jan. 17’s UFC Fight Night “Dillashaw vs. Cruz” bill continues to fill out.

In a bout announced Thursday morning by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, light heavyweight sluggers Ilir Latifi (10-4) and Sean O'Connell (17-6) will collide at the TD Garden in Boston.

Latifi, 32, put away Hans Stringer with first-round punches in his last outing on July 18. The Swede is 3-2 in the Octagon and has three finishes inside of the opening period.

After starting his UFC career with two consecutive defeats, O’Connell has rallied to win two straight as he put away Anthony Perosh and Matt Van Buren inside of three rounds.

UFC Fight Night “Dillashaw vs. Cruz” will be headlined by a 135-pound title fight as champion T.J. Dillashaw will tangle with former bantamweight ace Dominick Cruz.
