Moreno (22-8-2) got back into the win column in his last outing after winning a unanimous decision over Amir Albazi. Prior to the win, "The Assassin Baby" had lost his title to Alexandre Pantoja via split decision and lost another splitter to Brandon Royval. At just 31, the Mexican has plenty left in the tank and stepped on the scale weighing 125 pounds on the dot.
Meanwhile, Australia's Erceg is in a fight he must win if he hopes to stay at the top of the flyweight division. "Astro Boy" has dropped two in a row, losing a unanimous decision to Pantoja and then getting finished by Kai Kara-France in under a round. Erceg (12-3) is just 29 years old, so the best might be yet to come. The Wilkes Martial Arts fighter also stepped on the scale at 125 pounds.
UFC Mexico will air in its entirety on ESPN+ and ESPN2 on Saturday. Its prelims kick off at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while the main card starts at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
