Justin Ledet will welcome African newcomer Dalcha Lungiambula to the Octagon at UFC on ESPN 3 in Minneapolis.
Promotion officials announced the light heavyweight bout on Tuesday. UFC on ESPN 3 takes place at the Target Center on June 29 and is headlined by a welterweight rematch between Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler. The card will air on ESPN following prelims on ESPN+.
After beginning his promotional tenure with three straight triumphs, Ledet has lost two straight in the Octagon. Most recently, “El Blanco” suffered a 15-second knockout at the hands of rising star Johnny Walker at UFC Fight Night 144.
A native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lungiambula enters his UFC debut as the heavyweight and light heavyweight champion of the Africa-based Extreme Fighting Championship promotion. Lungiambula owns a 9-1 career mark that includes five victories inside the distance.
