Cage Warriors Fighting Championship announced Monday morning that Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Nicolas Dalby will face Alex Lohore for the CW interim welterweight title at CW103 on March 9 in Copenhagen. “Lokomotivo” will attempt to become a two-time Cage Warriors champion, almost exactly five years after he knocked out Sergei Churilov to win the vacant belt at Cage Warriors 66 in March 2014.
Both Dalby and Lohore are fighting off the back of big TKO finishes at CW100. The winner will lock horns with current champion Ross Houston to unify the belt.
On the same bill, former lightweight kingpin Soren Bak will move down to 145 pounds to challenge champion Dean Trueman. Bak recently vacated the belt he won by defeating Liverpool fan favorite Paddy Pimblett at CW96. Trueman claimed the Cage Warriors featherweight crown at Cage Warriors’ landmark CW100 against Aidan Lee after dropping a series of punches for a TKO stoppage in the third stanza.
Also scheduled to fight on the card are Danish Olympic silver medalist wrestler Mark O. Madsen and UFC veteran Mads Burnell, against opponents yet to be determined.
