UFC Women’s Bantamweight Sara McMann Puts Career on Hold After Announcing She’s Pregnant
Former Olympian and Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight contender Sara McMann has announced via Instagram that she is expecting a second child.
McMann, 37, was all smiles in her post, stating that she had been “dying to tell the world” her news announcing that her and her partner are 12 weeks along with the pregnancy and had been trying to get pregnant since her last fight.
“So, yes, I will still be fighting. My body handles pregnancy very well and I am training thru the majority of it. Thanks to everyone who is happy for our happiness.”
McMann is currently ranked No. 8 in the official UFC women’s bantamweight rankings and last competed inside the Octagon in February at UFC on FOX 28 against Marion Reneau, where she suffered a second-round submission loss.
