UFC on ABC 2 Medical Suspensions: Arnold Allen, Mackenzie Dern Facing 6-Month Terms

Arnold Allen and Mackenzie Dern are among six athletes from UFC on ABC 2 who are facing six months on the sidelines following their bouts at Saturday’s event.

The Nevada Athletic Commission released a full list of medical suspensions from the card to mixedmartialarts.com. UFC on ABC 2 took place at the UFC Apex and saw Marvin Vettori take a unanimous decision over Kevin Holland in the evening’s middleweight headliner. Both Vettori and Holland are suspended until May 2 with no contact until April 25.

Allen, who took a three-round verdict against Sodiq Yusuff in the co-main event, will be suspended six months unless he gets doctor clearance on a left-hand X-ray. At a minimum the British featherweight is suspended until May 11 with no contact until May 2.

Dern did not exit her first-round submission victory against Nina Nunes unscathed, either. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt needs a right thumb X-ray and doctor clearance or she will be out until Oct. 8.

Four other fighters from UFC on ABC 2 are facing potential six-month terms: Julian Marquez (right hand), Jim Miller (left foot), John Makdessi (right foot) and Ignacio Bahamondes (nose, left hand).

Marvin Vettori: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21 – left eyebrow cut.

Kevin Holland: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21 – left eyebrow cut.

Arnold Allen: must have left hand X-ray, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 10/08/21; minimum suspension no contest until 05/11/21, no contact until 05/02/21.

Sodiq Yusuff: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21.

Julian Marquez: must have right hand X-ray, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 10/08/21.

Sam Alvey: suspended until 05/11/21. No contact until 05/02/21.

Mackenzie Dern: must have right thumb X-ray, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 10/08/21.

Mike Perry: suspended until 05/26/21. No contact until 05/11/21.

Jim Miller: must have left foot X-ray, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 10/08/21; minimum suspension no contest until 05/11/21, no contact until 05/02/21.

Scott Holtzman: suspended until 05/26/21. No contact until 05/11/21.

John Makdessi: must have subtle nondisplaced fracture of the right zygomatic arch cleared by OMF doctor and right foot displaced fracture second metatarsal cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until 10/08/21; minimum suspension no contest until 05/26/21, no contact until 05/11/21.

Ignacio Bahamondes: must have nose X-ray, if positive must have ENT doctor clearance and left hand X-ray, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 10/08/21; minimum suspension no contest until 05/26/21, no contact until 05/11/21.

Yorgan De Castro: suspended until 05/26/21. No contact until 05/11/21.

Jordan Griffin: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21.

William Knight: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21.

Sasha Palatnikov: suspended until 05/02/21. No contact until 04/25/21.
