Two main card competitors from the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s mid-week event are facing six-month suspensions after their hard-fought battles.

On Friday, the promotion provided this information to mixedmartialarts.com as no commission is present in the country. While the UFC on ESPN 13 headliner was not a bout that will force either competitor to stay away from the sport for long, co-main event fighter Ryan Benoit is staring down the barrel of a 180-day suspension due to damage taken to his right thumb. Benoit can be cleared with an X-Ray, but at a minimum he has been handed down a 21-day suspension with no contact.

Earlier on the main card, Taila Santos captured a decision over Molly McCann, and may have injured her foot in the process. She has been issued a 180-day suspension that can be cleared by an X-Ray as well, and like Benoit, she has a minimum 21-day suspension with no contact even if given the go-ahead by medical professionals.

On the preliminary portion of the event, Modestas Bukauskas won his debut by knockout at the end of the first round, but he may be facing a lengthy suspension of his own. He will need to cleared by a left knee MRI in order to come back sooner than six months, with his own 21-day no contact order. Finally, Diana Belbita received a 180-day suspension that can be lifted if she is cleared from an MRI to her right elbow. Like those mentioned before her, she will sit out a minimum of three weeks with no contact.
