Meanwhile, Alexandre Pantoja garnered a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for a second-round submission of Brandon Royval in a pivotal flyweight matchup. Following a competitive opening frame, the Brazilian took his adversary’s back in Round 2, locked in a rear-naked choke and forced a tapout at the 1:46 mark of the period.
Elsewhere, Josiane Nunes pocketed a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” check after making short work of Bea Malecki in a preliminary women’s bantamweight clash. Nunes was able to navigate the superior reach of her opponent throughout the abbreviated contest before ending the bout with a massive overhand left at the 4:54 mark of Round 1.
Finally, William Knight captured the evening’s fourth $50,000 “Performance of the Night” payday by virture of a first-round knockout of Fabio Cherant at light heavyweight. The Dana White’s Contender Series alum ended Cherant’s night with a counter left hook and follow-up punches 3:58 into Round 1.
