UFC on ESPN 61 Weigh-in Results: Chelsea Chandler Among 3 Heavy

Chelsea Chandler just cannot seem to find the bantamweight limit.

After back-to-back weeks overseas, the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Las Vegas for UFC on ESPN 61. The 10-fight card will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Marcin Tybura and Serghei Spivac. Tybura will be the larger man inside the cage, weighing in 14 pounds heavier than Spivac.

While both heavyweights comfortably made weight, three other fighters on the card did not. Most notable was co-main event competitor Jose Mariscal, who came in 3.5 pounds over the featherweight limit for his bout against Damon Jackson. That wasn't even the biggest miss, though, as Chelsea Chandler came in five pounds over the bantamweight limit for her fight against Yana Santos, with this being her second time missing weight in the organization. Additionally, Danny Barlow came in a quarter of a pound over the welterweight limit. All fighters will be fined a percentage of their purses but will otherwise continue as scheduled.

Tybura (25-8) enters his third-straight headliner coming off a submission win over Tai Tuivasa. That win got "Tybur" back into the win column, as he had lost to Tom Aspinall previously. Meanwhile, Spivac (16-4) most recently lost to Ciryl Gane. Prior to the loss, "The Polar Bear" had won three straight against Derrick Lewis, Augusto Sakai and Greg Hardy.

The UFC on ESPN 61 main card will air on ESPN and ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Saturday. Prelims begin at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on the same platforms.
