Three men walked away from UFC on FX 6 with post-fight bonuses, as Ben Alloway, Cody Donovan and Nick Penner each pocketed an extra $40,000 for their performances Down Under.

Alloway took home “Knockout of the Night” for his first-round stoppage of “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” cast mate Manuel Rodriguez, while Donovan and Penner shared “Fight of the Night” honors for their brief but exciting welterweight affair.

Tonight’s event took place at Gold Coast Convention Centre in Gold Coast, Australia. The evening’s main card aired live on FX, while the preliminary lineup was broadcast immediately prior on Fuel TV.

Alloway’s spectacular finish came after he was out-grappled for most of round one. The Aussie then accidentally struck Rodriguez with a low kick to the cup, which referee Steve Perceval did not see. Perceval first waved off the contest, then decided to instead call the foul and restart the men after consulting a ringside official. Alloway pressed the action as the round waned, catching his ducking foe with a gorgeous front kick to the jaw and finishing the job with nasty ground-and-pound at 4:57.

Like Alloway, Donovan also appeared outgunned early in his light heavyweight showdown with Penner, who dropped the Octagon debutant twice in the bout’s opening minutes. However, Donovan picked himself up and went to work in the bout’s final 60 seconds, finding his range before clipping Penner with a sharp left hook that caused his knees to buckle. From his back, Penner had little hope of stopping Donovan’s onslaught and lost consciousness before referee Marc Goddard could step in and call the contest.
