As expected, “The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. U.K.” coaches Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos will collide at UFC on FX 6.
Sotiropoulos, a semifinalist on Season 6 of the reality series, will be making his first Octagon appearance of 2012. The 35-year-old Australian had an eight-fight winning streak snapped by Dennis Siver at UFC 127 before suffering a first-round knockout loss to Rafael dos Anjos in his next outing at UFC 132 last year.
After a six-bout stint at lightweight, Pearson made his 145-pound debut in December, earning a unanimous decision triumph over Junior Assuncao at UFC 141. The “TUF 9” winner came up short in his sophomore featherweight effort, however, falling to Cub Swanson via TKO at UFC on FX 4 in June. Pearson will return to 155 pounds for his bout with Sotiropoulos.
The upcoming season of “TUF” debuts Sept. 19 and airs Wednesdays on FX in Australia.
