Alex Caceres walked away from UFC on Fox 10 with $100,000 in post-fight bonus money, as “Bruce Leeroy” was awarded both “Fight of the Night” and “Submission of the Night” honors.
Caceres appeared too slow to handle Pettis in the first round of their 135-pound showdown, but the “TUF 12” alum eventually caught up to the Roufusport phenom in the second period, dropping him with a crisp left hand. Though Pettis would recover nicely from the blow, Caceres slammed the door in the third stanza by scoring a takedown and cinching a fight-ending rear-naked choke.
Cerrone would ultimately lay his opponent to rest late in the opening frame, but it was Adriano Martins who got off first, popping “Cowboy” with several crisp punches in the early stages of their lightweight affair. Cerrone then swiftly brought that trend to a halt with one well-placed head kick, which instantly relieved the Brazilian of his consciousness and scored Cerrone his second straight win.
