Tom DeBlass and Nick Penner are expected to square off at UFC on Fuel TV 4, Sherdog.com confirmed Wednesday with a source close to the bout.
DeBlass (Pictured), 30, looks to rebound from the first loss of his career in his sophomore Octagon effort. The former Ring of Combat heavyweight champion stepped up on short notice to face Cyrille Diabate in his promotional debut last month and fell by majority decision to “The Snake” after a strong start. The Ricardo Almeida pupil owns more than half of his wins by knockout or submission and has never been stopped in nearly two years as a pro.
Penner saw an eight-fight winning streak snapped in his March 3 UFC debut, as the Canadian was pounded out by veteran Anthony Perosh with just one second remaining in the first round of their UFC on FX 2 contest. The defeat marked the first time the 32-year-old had been finished; his only other defeat came via decision in 2008. Representing Blumenort, Manitoba, Penner has racked up four knockouts and five submissions in 11 professional victories.
