A welterweight contest pitting Niko Price against Muslim Salikhov is in the works for UFC Portland.
ESPN was first to report the booking. UFC Portland takes place at the Moda Center on April 11 and is headlined by a heavyweight tilt between Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.
Price is 6-3 with one no contest in 10 Octagon appearances, all of which have ended inside the distance. Most recently, “The Hybrid” knocked out James Vick with an upkick 1:44 into the opening stanza of their encounter at UFC Fight Night 161 on Oct. 12.
Salikhov, meanwhile, has won three straight Octagon appearances after dropping his debut to Alex Garcia at UFC Fight Night 122. “The King of Kung Fu” is coming of a decision win over Laureano Staropoli at UFC Fight Night 162 that improved his career mark to 16-2.
Note: This item was updated at approximately 5:15 p.m. ET to note that Price vs. Salikhov will take place at UFC Portland on April 11, not UFC Lincoln on April 25 as originally written.
