Urijah Faber Shows Interest in UFC Sacramento Card for Potential MMA Return
It appears as though Urijah Faber is considering coming out of retirement to fight in his hometown.

“I know my baby is keeping me young…but a good ole fist fight could help the cause,” Faber wrote. “[UFC Sacramento] on the horizon. [UFC}, 135 or 145, [and] who would be fun?”
Faber announced his retirement following a decision triumph over Brad Pickett at UFC on Fox 22 in December 2016, a card that also took place in Sacramento. “The California Kid” was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s “Modern Era” wing the following year.
However, Faber has remained in the USADA drug testing pool since his retirement, meaning he would be able to bypass the four-month testing period usually required of fighters returning to active status. While it’s unclear how serious Faber truly is in his latest social media post, he did admit earlier this year that he would be open to a comeback if the right opportunity arose.
“I would say I’m always open to entertain any business opportunity or offer, and I love to do things that I love to do, so I’m not gonna cut anything out. I still get tested from USADA just because I’ve never taken drugs in my life so I don’t really care about that.”
