If their pre-fight banter is any indication, it's unlikely that Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal will become friends after their UFC 239 tussle.
Askren posted a video on Thursday showing when the two fighters briefly met in their hotel before media day. This release is in response to Masvidal's claim that the Askren "froze" when the two first ran into one another.
In the video, Masvidal can be seen saying things like "look at me in the face when you're talking to me" and "I can’t wait to break your face," to which Askren barely responds. The video ends with Askren dismissively responding to his upcoming foe and walking away scoffing at Masvidal's "attempted intimidation."
UFC 239 will take place on Saturday, June 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event will be headlined by a light heavyweight title matchup between Jon Jones and Thiago Santos, while serving in the co-main attraction is a women's bantamweight title battle between Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm
