Vinicius de Jesus to Defend Welterweight Title Against Chris Lozano at CES 58

Classic Entertainment and Sports welterweight champion Vinicius de Jesus will defend his title against Chris Lozano at CES 58 on Sept. 7, the promotion announced.

De Jesus is coming off of a decision win over then champion Jeremiah Wells at CES 55, the first time the Brazilian fought in the promotion. Before that, the 29-year-old fought in Bellator where he went 2-2, including a TKO win over Rodolfo Barcellos at Bellator 216.

Lozano, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since 2016, when he lost a split-decision to Eddie Gordon in CFFC. The Cleveland native is 10-4 as a pro, a mark that includes a 2-3 stint in Bellator MMA. .

CES 58 will take place in Hartford, Conn., at the Connecticut Convention Center. It has yet to be determined if de Jesus vs. Lozano will serve as the main event.
