Vitaly Bigdash Gets New Opponent for Title Defense At One ‘Quest for Power’

One Championship announced Tuesday afternoon that middleweight contender Marcin Prachnio has suffered an injury in training and had to be removed from his championship bout against Vitaly Bigdash on the One “Quest for Power” event on Jan. 14.

Poland’s Prachnio, who has won seven in a row, will be replaced by Aung La N Sang. “The Burmese Python” has won four straight inside the One cage and now finds himself vying for the promotion’s 185-pound title on short notice.

Bigdash won the promotion’s 185-pound belt back in October 2015 by savagely knocking out Igor Svirid. A knee to the head followed by a torrent of punches ended things 36 ticks into the second at One Championship 32, but the Russian hasn’t fought since.

One Championship officials also revealed that Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev will take on Georgi Stoyanov while Igor Subora will oppose Sherif Mohamed to round out the card. The event will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
