Viviane Araujo made her Ultimate Fighting Championship debut two weight classes up at bantamweight at UFC 237, where she scored a knockout victory over Talita Bernardo.

However, she still won’t move back down to strawweight for her next Octagon appearance. Instead, she will compete at 125 pounds against Alexis Davis at UFC 240 in Edmonton on July 27. Both fighters confirmed the bout on social media following an initial report from Combate.

Davis is on a two-fight losing streak after dropping decisions to Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia. Before that, the Canadian beat Liz Carmouche and Cindy Dandois. She also holds notables wins over the likes of Amanda Nunes, Jessica Eye and Tonya Evinger , among others.

Araujo, as mentioned, is coming off the knockout win over Bernardo. Before that, she was the Pancrase strawweight champion and currently holds a record of 7-1.

UFC 240 takes place at Rogers Place and features a featherweight championship tilt pitting Max Holloway against Frankie Edgar. The main card will be available on pay-per-view via ESPN+.
