WSOF 7 Weigh-in Results: Karakhanyan, Palmer On Point for FW Title Headliner

Georgi Karakhanyan and Lance Palmer will collide as planned in the World Series of Fighting 7 headliner, as both featherweight title contenders were cleared to compete at Friday’s pre-fight weigh-ins.

Karakhanyan tipped the scales at 144.7 pounds, while Palmer checked in slightly lighter at 144.6. The featherweights will battle over the inaugural World Series of Fighting 145-pound title to close out Saturday night’s event, which takes place at the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, and airs live on NBC Sports Network.

The WSOF’s Canadian debut will also showcase the delayed middleweight tournament semifinal between UFC veteran Jesse Taylor (185.7) and ex-MFC champ Elvis Mutapcic (185.6), as well as a lightweight clash pitting unbeaten prospect Nick Newell (155.8) against nine-fight pro Sabah Fadai (155).

Prior to the televised card, the evening’s preliminary offering streams live and free on, highlighted by a welterweight matchup between “Ultimate Fighter 16” alumnus Mike Hill (169.2) and Richard Arsenault (169.8).
