Welterweights Vicente Luque, Randy Brown to Meet at UFC Card on Aug. 1

A welterweight clash pitting Vicente Luque against Randy Brown is expected to go down at the UFC’s Aug. 1 event.

Brown reported the bout on his Twitch stream and Luque’s management later announced the pairing on Instagram. The booking has since been confirmed by multiple outlets. The card is headlined by a women’s bantamweight clash between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana and is expected to be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Luque has been victorious in seven of his last eight promotional appearances. Most recently, “The Silent Assassin” earned a third-round doctor stoppage in a rematch with Niko Price at UFC 249 on May 9.

Brown, meanwhile, is coming off back-to-back finishes of Warrlley Alves and Bryan Barberena in his last two UFC fights. The Ring of Combat veteran is 6-3 in the Octagon and 12-3 as a professional overall.
