An ankle injury has forced Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight champion Ian Loveland to withdraw from his scheduled TPF 17 headliner against fellow UFC vet Jared Papazian.
A veteran of EliteXC and King of the Cage competition, Doane most recently saw a two-fight winning streak snapped in his Aug. 9 appearance under the Pacific Xtreme Combat banner, dropping a split decision to Guamanian talent Kyle Aguon at PXC 38.
Papazian, 25, has gone 3-1 since his departure from the UFC last year and rides back-to-back victories into his TPF debut, outpointing John Robles at the World Series of Fighting’s fourth event this past August before stopping 20-fight veteran Jeff Martin with strikes last month.
