With No Replacement Foe Found, Drakkar Klose Pulled from UFC Sacramento Card

By Cole Shelton Jul 9, 2019

The UFC could not find Drakkar Klose a short-notice opponent for UFC Sacramento and he has announced he is off the card.

“I would like to inform all my friends, family and fans who bought tickets to come see me fight in Sacramento, unfortunately I will not be fighting on the card,” Klose wrote in a statement on Instagram. It’s been a long 24 hours for myself and my team.”

It is obviously disappointing news for the 31-year-old to not be fighting. He now hopes to get on a card very soon as he hasn’t fought since December of last year.

“We are hoping to be placed on a upcoming card soon,” he continued. “I’m sorry again for the inconvenience. We all lost money on this, I could have potentially walked away with over 100k and now I go home with nothing, but apparently that is part of the game. Thank you all for your support hoping to get back in there soon P.S. Stay in School!”

His scheduled opponent, Beneil Dariush had to withdraw from the card due to an injury. UFC Sacramento will now go on with 12 fights.
