11-BOUT PRO TITAN FC CARD FINALIZED

(PRESS RELEASE) -- A total of eleven professional bouts for
Friday's (Dec. 18) Titan Fighting Championships 15
(www.TitanFighting.com or www.Twitter.com/TitanFighting) event to
take place at the historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas
have been finalized. Tickets for the event can be purchased online
via Ticketmaster.com.
TFC 15 will feature co-main event matchups between James Krause (10-2) and Kalel Robinson (9-3) as well as Eric Marriott (16-2) vs. Sean Wilson (19-9).
Krause, currently under contract to Zuffa-owned World Extreme
Cagefighting, is taking a fight at welterweight outside of the
organization. In order to retain his WEC contract, he must defeat
Robinson, a native of Illinois.
For Marriott, a native of Lee's Summitt, Friday could mark his last fight in the area for quite some time. One of the most highly-regarded unsigned MMA prospects in the United States, unconfirmed published reports have linked him to the Bellator Fighting Championships, a national promotion which has inked broadcast deals with NBC and Fox Sports Net in recent months.
Also featured on the card will be a highly anticipated clash of two outstanding bantamweight prospects. While Krause vs. Robinson and Marriott and Wilson are receiving top billing, the most entertaining bout of the night could be when Danny Tims (7-1-1) of Independence, MO clashes with Chad Vandenberg (5-1) of Kansas City, MO.
Vandenberg vs. Tims is expected to be challenged for "Fight of the Night" by a 150 lbs. catchweight clash between Ramiro Hernandez Jr. (5-1) and Mike Johnson (10-6). Hernandez, one of the leaders of Pat Miletich's next generation of stars at the Miletich Fighting Systems camp in Bettendorf, Iowa shared "Fight of the Night" honors at Titan Fighting Championships 14 on Oct. 2 when he rallied to record a second round TKO over Brian Davidson. An all-out standup war is expected is expected when he steps into the cage to fight Johnson.
In addition to Hernandez, other MFS prospects scheduled for the event include Rashad Brooks and Nick Spohn. Spohn will be making his pro debut on Friday, Dec. 18 after having just recently returned from a training camp with UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn. He was personally invited by the Penn camp to be one of Penn's primary training partners leading up to this past Saturday's fifth round TKO victory over Diego Sanchez at UFC 107. Spohn's pro debut will come against Chris Andrade.
Brooks is known for a flashy fighting style that involves high-risk moves such as spinning back fists and high kicks. He will be in for a tough test when he faces Kansas City's top light heavyweight prospect, Jerald "Jeb" Chiles (9-1).
On hand to corner Brooks, Hernandez, and Spohn will be none other than former UFC welterweight champion Pat Miletich and current UFC fighter Jesse Lennox.
Other bouts slated for the event include John Ott (5-6) vs. Dominic Brown (15-14), ), Ben Nixdorf (5-3) vs. Ryan Cenkus (5-5), a highly anticipated rematch between Travis Sevum vs. Tommie O'Neal, and the pro debuts of light heavyweights Oscar Glover and Monte Garrett.
TFC 15 will also feature the pro MMA debut of undefeated heavyweight prospect Ritchie Carmack. Carmack, a Kansas City native, is 7-0 as a pro boxer with six of his seven wins ending via first round (T)KO. Carmack had been scheduled to face Alex Rozman but Rozman was recently forced to pull off the show due to illness. In his place, local Kansas City heavyweight John Orr (5-3) has been tapped to take Rozman's place. In certain aspects, Orr represents a greater challenge than Rozman but Carmack's elite boxing skill could negate Orr's experience advantage.
