(PRESS RELEASE) -- Paradisiac Porto Seguro, in Bahia, will host a new mark on Brazilian MMA. Next Sunday (January 29th), Pink Fight’s first edition debuts with a lineup composed, for the first time in Brazil, exclusively by female fights. Promotion’s president, Wallid Ismail will keep Jungle Fight’s world-known philosophy of tickets distribution as a way to popularize the sport.
“Few people in Brazil know that I took part on the negotiation to put a female fight on Showtime. I talked directly to Ken Hershman on that time. I’m very happy to be on the frontline of the first time ever an exclusively female event hits Brazil. I’m sure that Pink Fight will reveal new talents and encourage another women to become professional fighters”, Ismail celebrated.
One of the greatest MMA supporters in Brazil, federal senator Magno Malta can only see benefits on Pink Fight’s creation.
“Such a big nation with that potential to create champions deserved a female promotion. We have a lot of examples to follow, as world number one Cris Cyborg, and our president, who is also a woman. Brazil has a lot of female representatives who makes us proud and now it’s time to create MMA idols too. Beyond that, we have one more opportunity to spread our word of drug combat and pedophilia combat”, Malta stated.
