Among those in attendance will be:
Mark Pavelich, owner/president of the Maximum Fighting Championship
Victor “The Matrix” Valimaki and Jason “Dooms” Day, who will be fighting for the MFC Light Heavyweight title in the Main Event.
Alberta’s own MFC star Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald, who will be facing Mexico’s Edwin Aguilar (Pictures) in a middleweight Superfight.
Fabio “The Mastermind” Holanda, a Brazilian-born ju-jitsu phenom who will be in a lightweight Superfight against Mike Bell (Pictures).
Roger Alves, a former Canadian national team and University of Alberta wrestler now competing in mixed martial arts.
Keith “The Celtic Warrior” Weafer and Jeff Montemurro – the two fighters representing their clubs in the Rugby Grudge Match fight.
Also a reminder that the MFC will hold its official weigh-in on Thursday, Sept. 7 beginning at 6 p.m. on the HMV Stage at West Edmonton Mall.
