5/1/07 - Columbus, OH: The NAAFS in conjunction with Knock Em Dead Productions is pleased to announce that former Gladiators Fighting Middleweight Champion Mitch Whitesel (8-5) has officially been added to the Columbus Night of Pain fight card set for May 18th at the Hoop Sports Complex. Coming of a hard fought and impressive win over Allan Weickert (Pictures) at Caged Fury 2, Whitesel's next test will be West Virginia's Jason "The Wrecking Ball" Jones (7-2). Jones, a state champion wrestler from Newell West Virginia, has a well rounded attack and comes in with the reputation of being a quick finisher. Whitesel is regarded as one of the most technical and sound fighters in the series and has proven in the past that he can finish on his feet and on the ground which makes this one of the most intriguing match ups in the NAAFS pro series.

Columbus native Travis Burnett (Pictures) (5-4) will clash with Wreckroom Athletics' Chad Trukovich (2-3) in a featured bout. Both fighters will bring an aggressive style to the NAAFS cage which should make for an entertaining and explosive match up. Burnett, a former wrestler can also stand and bang with several TKO's on his résumé. With a background in boxing, Trukovich has been in the cage with some of the sports top welterweights making him a tough test for any fighter at 170 lbs.

2006 NAAFS Light heavyweight national finalist Nick "The Savage" Duell (4-2) will look for his third straight win in 2007 when he faces Full Circle Vale Tudo's Frank Dachtler (2-1) in a light heavyweight battle. Duell is a destructive striker with heavy hands and the power to end the fight at any given moment. Dachtler will make his NAAFS debut at 205 lbs after winning two of three fights as a heavyweight and will bring a very tight ground game to the cage on May 18th.

Scottish Bag Pipers and all, rising heavyweight star Felix "The Cat" Catheline (2-0) will look to stay unbeaten when he takes on hometown favorite Matt Lisi in a clash of agile NAAFS heavyweights while hometown fighters Jason Nickoson (Buckeye MMA) and Team Jorge Gurgel (Pictures)'s Chuck Hamilton make their NAAFS debuts. For a sneak preview, fans can log onto PKWlive.com all week and see Felix "The Cat" Cathelines last bout from Caged Fury as its PKW's featured fight of the week video for the week of 4/30/07.
