Amir Khan: ‘I Have to Go Back to My Killer Instinct’
In November, Singapore native Amir Khan bounced back from the most difficult period of his professional fighting career. With his split-decision win over Ev Ting, he had righted the ship after the first losing streak -- three fights -- and knockout of his career. Yet he was not satisfied with his performance that night. With his confidence renewed, but dissatisfied with his recent showings, he has a specific mandate for 2020. “In 2020, I vowed to myself [that] I have to go back to my finishing ways,” Khan told Sherdog. “I have to go back to my killer instinct and go there and try to put [Kimihiro Eto] out. That’s my goal in 2020. I’m not going to try to face a particular opponent, but just get back to that zone. That killer instinct mindset.”
