In The Gym: Rampage Eyes Comeback
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. Quinton Jackson (Pictures) is no stranger to adversity. On Sunday in Tokyo, the 27-year-old fighter faces Hirotaka Yokoi (Pictures), undefeated in 10 bouts before losing his last three.
Jackson, like several others on PRIDE's latest pay-per-view card (Monday, 10 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. PT), is in search of a fresh start, and Sherdog.com was on hand as "Rampage" prepared for Yokoi.
The 205-pound fighter, who twice challenged Wanderlei Silva (Pictures), has returned to the gym where he first trained upon moving to California from Memphis, Tenn. some five years ago.
Working with the likes of Tito Ortiz (Pictures), Jason Miller, Karo Parisyan (Pictures), Ricco Rodriguez (Pictures) and Justin McCully, Jackson says he's finally found the right mix to make him a contender against any of PRIDE's dangerous middleweights.
Jackson has also enlisted the services of longtime boxing trainer Juanito Ibarra, and will have him in his corner this weekend.
