In a couple of months, “Hollywood” wants to make a statement in his return to the Professional Fighters League.

On April 23, Johnny Case (27-7-1) will make his return after a few years away from the cage. Save for 2020, when he had to stay put due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation that froze most of the world, the latest fights of “Hollywood” took place in the Rizin Fighting Federation ring. While talking with Sherdog, Case explained that he improved his wrestling game inside the cage, and he wants to show off his improvements against his upcoming opponent, PFL Season 2019 finalist Loik Radzhabov.

“I watched the finals with Natan [Schulte],” he said. “He’s got that typical Russian style, that sambo style with big heavy punches, then the clinching game into the takedown, you know, those calf kicks and stuff. I’ve fought that style before, I’m very familiar with that style. I have the range advantage, and I’m going to use that, I’m going to keep striking and keep moving my feet. If he wants to clinch and comes forward, he’s going to run into some hard shots. The gameplan is just to go and whoop his ass, go up there and tactically dismantle him.”

“Hollywood” has already competed once under the PFL banner when he took on Natan Schulte back at PFL 9. That time, their 155-pound clash ended with a majority draw that rewarded the American Top Team representative Schulte with a place into the tournament's semi-finals after winning Round 1 on all the judges’ scorecards. Case has never hidden that he would like a rematch with Schulte as he believes that a finish of Radzhabov is the shortest path to face his rival.

“It’s going to end with my hand raised, plain and simple,” he added. “Knockout, submission, whatever, I’m going to go in there, and I’m going to look to get him out of there and secure the six points going into the playoffs season.”
