Ricky Simon Plans to Show the Strength of a True Bantamweight

Ricky Simon’s July loss to Ultimate Fighting Championship hall of famer Urijah Faber proved to be a learning experience. The 27-year-old plans to apply those lessons on Dec. 7 at UFC on ESPN 7 when he faces No. 10-ranked bantamweight Rob Font.
Font has earned his Top-10 ranking in the organization for being a competitor who has faced some of the best bantamweights in the promotion over the last five years. However, Simon believes he may not be as formidable a test as some may think. Especially since Font’s most recent victory came against a fighter who made his bones at flyweight before they faced off.
