Ognjen Topic (32-20-2) vs Tukkatatong Petpayathai (241-33-2)
Serbian-American Ognjen Topic and Thailand’s Tukkatatong Petpayathai are both highly decorated, world-class strikers. They each won their recent ONE Super Series debuts, Topic via unanimous decision over Greece’s Stergos Mikkios and Petpayathai via a majority decision over Frenchman Mehdi Zatout. This weekend’s clash will be step up in opposition for both fighters. 32-year-old Topic trains out of North Jersey Muay Thai . Topic is a former Lion Fight Lightweight World Champion as well the 2017 Muay Thai Grand Prix Champion and currently holds the WBC North American Super feather weight Championship and the WKA North American Lightweight Championship.
His class was on display when he defeated Mikkios back in May but in Petpayathai he will meet an opponent whose credentials are on par with his own. The 30-year-old Thai national trains out of EVOLVE MMA and is a two time Muay Thai World Champion claiming the titles at the renowned Channel 7 Stadium in Bangkok. Petpayathai looked impressive in his bout with Zatout and will be unlikely to allow Topic the room to establish his attacking rhythm that Mikkios gave the Serbian.
