Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira didn’t have to wait long for their bout to be rescheduled.

UFC officials on Monday announced that the Johnson-Teixeira matchup -- which was recently postponed from its original July 23 date -- will now serve as the co-main event of UFC 202.

UFC 202 takes place Aug. 20 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with a 170-pound rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor topping the pay-per-view main card. Another welterweight bout pitting Donald Cerrone against Rick Story was also added to the bill on Monday.

Johnson, 32, came up short in his bid for the UFC light heavyweight title in May 2015, but he has since righted his ship with a pair of vicious knockouts. “Rumble” last saw action on Jan. 30, when he punched out Ryan Bader in just 86 seconds in the main event of UFC on Fox 18.

Teixeira has won three straight, finishing Rashad Evans, Patrick Cummins and Ovince St. Preux to bounce back from consecutive losses to Phil Davis and Jon Jones in 2014. The 36-year-old Brazilian is 8-2 during his promotional tenure.

Former lightweight challenger Cerrone has won back-to-back bouts since shifting to welterweight; earlier this month, he scored a third-round stoppage over Patrick Cote at UFC Fight Night in Ottawa. He faces a divisional mainstay in Story, who last month returned from an 18-month layoff to beat former Strikeforce titleholder Tarec Saffiedine.
