Antonio Rogerio Nogueira to Face Jared Cannonier at UFC on Fox 26 in Winnipeg

A light heavyweight clash pitting Antonio Rogerio Nogueira against Jared Cannonier is set for UFC on Fox 26 in Winnipeg, Canada on Dec. 16.

The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the pairing on Thursday as well as a middleweight showdown between Alessio Di Chricio against Oluwale Bamgbose. UFC on Fox 26 takes place at Bell MTS Place, and the evening’s main card airs on the Fox Network.

Nogueira, 41, has lost three of his last four Octagon appearances. Most recently, “Minotouro” suffered a third-round TKO defeat to Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 100 on Nov. 19. The Brazilian is 5-5 since beginning his promotional tenure in 2009.

Cannonier, meanwhile, has won three of his last four bouts, including a third-round stoppage of Nick Roehrick in his most recent outing at “The Ultimate Fighter 25” finale on July 7. Cannonier also owns wins over Ion Cutelaba and Cyril Asker in UFC competition.
