A bantamweight showdown between Urijah Faber and Frankie Saenz is set for UFC 194.
The fight was revealed during Fox Sports Live on Thursday Night. UFC 194 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 12 and is headlined by a featherweight title unification bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.
Faber, who was recently struggling to find an opponent for the UFC’s big weekend, hasn’t competed since a unanimous decision loss to Frankie Edgar in Manila on May 16. Faber is currently taping Season 22 of “TUF,” where he coaches opposite McGregor in a U.S. vs. Europe team format. The latest iteration of the reality show is set to premiere on Fox Sports 1 on Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET.
The 35-year-old Saenz enters his clash with Faber on a seven-fight winning streak. Three of those triumphs have come inside the Octagon, including a split verdict over Sirwan Kakai at UFC Fight Night in Nashville on Aug. 8.
