Bryan Barberena will move to the welterweight division to face Jonavin Webb when the UFC travels to Pittsburgh on Feb. 21.
The UFC announced the bout on Thursday. UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh takes place at the Consol Energy Center and features a middleweight clash pitting Derek Brunson against Roan Carneiro. A headliner has not been announced for the event.
Barberena split a pair of bouts at 155 pounds in the Octagon, stopping Joe Ellenberger in his promotional debut at UFC on Fox 13 before dropping a three-round verdict to Chad Laprise at UFC 186 this past April. The 26-year-old Minneapolis native is 10-3 as a pro, with eight triumphs via KO or TKO.
Webb suffered his first career setback at UFC Fight Night “Miocic vs. Hunt,” when he fell to Kyle Noke via split decision on May 10. The Cage Fury Fighting Championships veteran was unbeaten in his first nine pro outings prior to facing Noke.
