UFC Fight Night 118 appears to have its main event, as Octagon staple Donald Cerrone will square off against rising prospect Darren Till in a welterweight duel.
Multiple outlets have confirmed that the fighters have verbally agreed to the booking following an initial report from MMA Uno. UFC Fight Night 118 takes place at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, on Oct. 21 and also includes a strawweight tilt pitting Karolina Kowalkiewicz against Jodie Esquibel.
Cerrone, 34, begin his 170-pound tenure with four consecutive victories but will attempt to snap a two-fight skid against Till. Most recently, “Cowboy” dropped a narrow decision to former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 214 on July 29.
Till, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision triumph over Bojan Velickovic at UFC Fight Night 115 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, this past Saturday. The 24-year-old Englishman is 15-0-1 as a professional and 3-0-1 in the Octagon, with a draw against Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 76 the only blemish on his ledger.
